That’s a wrap!
The 7th International Conference on Kurdish Linguistics (ICKL-7) took place at the University of Bamberg on August 28–29, 2025.
A big thank-you and sipas to everyone who joined us and contributed to two inspiring days of discussion and exchange.
About the ICKL
The International Conference on Kurdish Linguistics (ICKL) is a biennial forum for scholarly exchange among linguists working on any aspect of Kurdish — including the interactions with its neighboring languages. It welcomes contributions from various subdomains of linguistics, such as sociolinguistics, descriptive and typologically-oriented analyses of phonology and morphosyntax, grammaticalization and historical development, formal approaches to the grammar, pragmatics, language acquisition, language contact, and corpus linguistics. Whether you are sharing groundbreaking research or early ideas, the ICKL provides a collaborative and supportive environment for scholars at all career stages.
